On the move through the day, do you feel focused and able to stay on task? Is there open space in your mind, enough to comfortably consider one thing at a time?
If not...some practices...
- tune into a longer, slower in-breath, let your breath all the way out as you release a bit of tension with each breath
- take a break from thinking, and feel your body instead. If thoughts break in, just don't follow them, let them dissipate on their own, due to your inattention. Relax any or all of shoulders, fingers, feet, and toes as you continue to feel the breath
- in the space you create in your mind and relaxed body, choose one focus. Release all the rest, one thing is enough for right now
