As children, we start life with other people making decisions about our existence, and at some point (ideally), we become the choice-makers.

It can be easy though, to go back to believing we have no power, and are just reactors to what others think, do, want, and say.

With mindfulness, we can notice when thinking becomes reactive, rather than proactive, and switch to more intentional thinking.
